A Purpose-Built Workspace for Innovation and Collaboration
Capital Brands, a global leader in small kitchen appliances and the company behind the Instant Brands portfolio, partnered with Walker Development to create a purpose-built East Coast innovation and office space. The project began with a full demolition of the existing interior, allowing for a clean, modern build-out that reflects the company’s forward-thinking approach to product development. Crisp lines and a bright, refined aesthetic set the tone for a workspace designed to support creativity, testing, and collaboration.
The new layout includes private offices, conference and huddle spaces, open workstations, and a dedicated product testing kitchen—essential for hands-on appliance development. Walker Development worked closely with the client to ensure seamless circulation throughout the space while integrating access control, security, and specialized lighting systems.
Construction scope included new underground plumbing, HVAC upgrades, custom millwork, and tailored cosmetic finishes. The result is a highly functional environment that supports innovation at scale and aligns with a brand trusted by more than 80 million customers worldwide.
