Major Renovation and Design Build at Higashi's Educational Center

Walker Development worked alongside the school administration to bring alive the lower level of the Magennis Building, allowing more students to use the space on a daily basis.

Damaged walls and subfloors were replaced, and the space was brought to code with mold remediation along with the re-insulation of plumbing lines.

The bathrooms were remodeled with new doors, cabinetry, FRP, partitions, and new electrical and plumbing.

Seeking to bring more natural light in, the refurbished common corridor now opens to new classrooms housing built-in cabinets with new countertops and backsplashes. New doors and hardware are seen throughout the classrooms and common corridors. The new carpet tile, ceramic tile, rubber flooring, and vinyl base flow throughout with aesthetically pleasing fresh paint on all walls and doors.

We are proud to bring The Boston Higashi’s School vision to light with the design of new rooms for art, music, and clubs.
