A Major Interior and Exterior Restoration at the Historic Kidder Building

The historic Kidder Building in Sudbury is now home to Walker Development's client, William Raveis Real Estate. It was imperative to bring the 1820s building back to life, upgrading it to luxury office space and aligning it with the client’s brand. All while keeping the property architecture preserved with a unique flare to the community.

To meet the demands of the workplace, we kept the integrity and added value to the interior space with a demolition, rebuild, and reconfigure which included two stairwells as well as new interior design throughout.

In addition to the extensive renovation of the building’s interior, demolition also occurred on all windows, gutters, exterior doors, decking, and the existing siding. They were replaced with custom-made wood framed units, wood clapboards, new decks, columns, railings, and new gutters. 

Proudly, the office was made ADA-accessible, offering a prefabricated handicap ramp and ADA sink in the first-floor bathroom.
