Enhancing company culture from the ground up, Walker Development & Construction Management, Inc. has hired Claire Burgess as the new Director of Marketing & Culture/HR. The development and construction management firm serves clients in a range of sectors, including corporate office, retail, real estate, life science and technology, medical office, industrial, academic, multi-family, government, hospitality, and wellness.
As the head of her own consulting business for over 20 years, Claire has a wealth of experience reinvigorating organizations from a variety of industries throughout North America and the Caribbean, including hospitality, property investment and destination development, non-profit, construction, real estate, education, retail, finance, health, and startups.
With her degree from Newbury College, in addition to her certifications and enthusiasm for the positive power of mindfulness, meditation, and Yoga, she has successfully combined business strategy, and professional development with employee wellness processes for past clients. Some of these clients include Realizing Children’s Strengths, Cohasset Hospitality Partners, Royal West Indies Resort, IDEA Orlando, PACE Association, and numerous boutique hotels and island tourism boards. Prior, Claire held senior management positions with DHC Hotels and Resorts and Ontario’s Ministry of Tourism and continues to reach organizations delivering brand affinity topics, mindfulness facilitation and employee wellness initiatives through speaking engagements.
