Initial Design to Full Construction, Expanded Existing Operation 

With existing space vacant for more than 5 years, Candela Medical engaged Walker Development to collaborate, build and consult throughout the entire process, from the initial design stage to full construction with a goal to stay within budget and create a better user experience. The new Marlborough facility required full gut demolition and replacement of all existing HVAC and electrical systems. 

Design elements included portions of open ceilings, sealed concrete, pendant style LED fixtures, and standard lab finishes. The project scope was to create lab space and better flow of organizational areas for new activities and included construction of R&D, Logistics and Laser lab areas and high rated hazardous materials rooms. In addition, the project also included a new employee kitchen/break area.
