High-Security Fit-Out in Active Mixed-Use Building

Tasked with a secure, multi-phase renovation in an occupied building open to both employees and the public, Walker delivered a comprehensive transformation for the Massachusetts State Lottery’s administration—all while maintaining daily operations. This included upgraded offices, training rooms, mechanical labs, and public-facing service areas that are designed for performance, safety, and functionality.

Working closely with the government’s IT, security, and furniture vendors, the team ensured seamless coordination and on-time installation. The renovated lobby and transaction area feature ballistic glass, structural steel, and cladding, balancing strict security requirements with a welcoming aesthetic.

The new construction included glass vestibules for entry, underground plumbing for upgraded restrooms, HVAC upgrades, and a new electrical room with transformers and panels to support increased power demands.

Key features included a compressed air and vacuum system, touchless fixtures, ejector pumps, and a custom millwork package with reinforced counters and stainless-steel protections for high-traffic areas.
