A Transformation into a Modern Shipping and Receiving Dock
Walker Development & Construction Management completed the renovation of an existing building, converting it into a fully functional, modern shipping and receiving facility. Key upgrades included the installation of new retaining walls, an advanced drainage systems to support the facility’s infrastructure, and repaving to provide a smoother surface for transportation.
Three new dock positions were added, each equipped with hydraulic dock levelers, durable dock doors, and high-quality dock shelters. These installations ensure seamless loading and unloading operations, enhancing the site’s overall efficiency.
Walker also undertook modifications to the building’s Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS). This system helps to reduce energy consumption and minimize heating and cooling costs. The EIFS system also creates a waterproof layer, improves fire resistance, and requires minimal maintenance, ensuring long-term performance and sustainability.
By combining thoughtful design with advanced construction techniques, Walker Development has delivered a shipping and receiving area tailored for durability and efficiency.
