Bentley University planned a major renovation of the existing multicultural center, renaming it the Claudette Blot Multicultural Center Lounge. The plans would give the lounge an expanded space with a fresh, modern look for students to gather and facilitate activities that forge connections.

As an important part of a student’s business education is exposure to other cultures and perspectives, Bentley proudly celebrates our differences and encourages curiosity. As the campus hub for diversity and inclusion activities, Walker was honored to be awarded the project and work with an amazing team of students, project professionals, and administration. 

The timeline for this project was a very tight turn-around with the lounge closing on December 19, 2022, and the ribbon cutting ceremony in the newly renovated space taking place on January 23, 2023. Challenge accepted. From adding more space and redesigning the glass storefront, to the custom ceiling tiles, adding a mini kitchen area, and the custom electric fireplace, one can imagine the task at hand, and the end date did not move. Strong relationships formed and an exceptional end project was delivered, on-time and on-budget.
